Arlington, Texas — The Texas Rangers (61-64) are set to open a six-game homestand at Globe Life Field tomorrow, featuring meetings with the Washington Nationals (August 18-20) and division rival Los Angeles Angels (August 21-23).
Tomorrow night’s homestand opener against the Nationals will feature a ceremonial first pitch by Academy Award-nominated writer, director, producer, and actor Taylor Sheridan, known for creating multiple hit television series including Yellowstone and Landman. Additionally, tomorrow evening’s pre-game rendition of The Star-Spangled Banner will be performed by Nashville-based singer-songwriter and American Idol Season 24 contestant Marissa Luna.

All returning members of the 1996 Rangers will also be recognized on-field during a pre-game ceremony ahead of that night’s game against the Angels, culminating with the Rangers’ 1996 Pitcher of the Year, Ken Hill, tossing a ceremonial first pitch to Rodríguez.
