Texas Rangers Homestand Information for August 18-23, 2026

Arlington, Texas — The Texas Rangers (61-64) are set to open a six-game homestand at Globe Life Field tomorrow, featuring meetings with the Washington Nationals (August 18-20) and division rival Los Angeles Angels (August 21-23).

Tomorrow night’s homestand opener against the Nationals will feature a ceremonial first pitch by Academy Award-nominated writer, director, producer, and actor Taylor Sheridan, known for creating multiple hit television series including Yellowstone and Landman. Additionally, tomorrow evening’s pre-game rendition of The Star-Spangled Banner will be performed by Nashville-based singer-songwriter and American Idol Season 24 contestant Marissa Luna.

This weekend, the organization will commemorate the 30th anniversary of the 1996 Rangers, the first team in franchise history to capture a division title and advance to the postseason. Approximately 30 players, coaches, and executives from the 1996 club are expected to return to Arlington for the celebration, including Texas Rangers Baseball Hall of Fame members Rusty Greer, Iván Rodríguez, and Jeff Russell.

The festivities will begin on Friday, August 21, at the 1996 Texas Rangers Anniversary Luncheon presented by Frost Bank and Refreshed by Coca-Cola, which will be held from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. at the Live! by Loews – Arlington hotel. Several members of the 1996 Rangers are expected to attend the luncheon and participate in a panel discussion, with net proceeds from the event benefiting the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation. Tickets are still available at rangers.com/luncheon.

On Saturday, August 22, the first 10,000 fans in attendance will receive a 1996 Rangers Team Button-Down presented by Coca-Cola. All returning members of the 1996 Rangers will also be recognized on-field during a pre-game ceremony ahead of that night’s game against the Angels, culminating with the Rangers’ 1996 Pitcher of the Year, Ken Hill, tossing a ceremonial first pitch to Rodríguez.

Fans who purchase special tickets to the homestand finale on Sunday, August 23, through rangers.com/specialtynights will receive a limited-edition Down Syndrome is Cool cap presented by The Burger Family Foundation, Burlebo, and Bruce Bolt as part of the Rangers’ annual Down Syndrome Awareness Day. The Burger Family Foundation, which was founded by Rangers first baseman Jake Burger and his wife Ashlyn in 2025 after their daughter Penelope was born with Down syndrome, will also activate a merchandise pop-up shop behind section 142 near the Guest Services kiosk.

Five of the six games of this homestand will be televised on Rangers Sports Network presented by Progressive. The Friday night game against the Angels will be broadcast on Apple TV+.

Rangers Sports Network (RSN) is available within the Rangers TV territory through select broadcast television, cable, satellite, and digital streaming platforms.
