Texas Rangers Return to Arlington Next Week for Seven-Game Homestand Against In-State Rival Houston Astros and Kansas City Royals

Arlington, Texas — The Texas Rangers (24-25) will return to Globe Life Field next week for a seven-game homestand featuring meetings against the in-state rival Houston Astros (May 25–28) and the Kansas City Royals (May 29-31).

Next week’s four-game set against Houston will include a variety of promotional giveaways and specialty nights, beginning with an All for Texas Hockey Jersey giveaway presented by TXU Energy for the first 10,000 fans in attendance of the series opener on Monday, May 25. The club will also celebrate Memorial Day that evening by hosting Gold Star Families at batting practice, in addition to a pre-game recognition of Folds of Honor and Purple Heart recipients.

Wednesday night’s contest will feature a Skip Schumaker Concert Tee giveaway presented by AMR for the first 10,000 fans. On Thursday, the Rangers will host a free pre-game trivia competition at 5:30 p.m. in the Comerica Backyard leading into Texas Tech Community Night. Fans who purchase tickets to Thursday's game through rangers.com/communitynights will receive a Texas Tech-branded Rangers windbreaker.

All fans in attendance of the Frost™ Friday series-opener against the Royals will receive a Nolan Ryan Bloody Lip Jersey presented by Globe Life. The unique promotional item replicates the stain that was created when a hard-hit comebacker off the bat of Kansas City outfielder Bo Jackson struck Hall of Fame pitcher Nolan Ryan in the face during a Rangers-Royals game at Arlington Stadium on September 8, 1990. Despite suffering a blood-gushing wound on his bottom lip, which stained his jersey, Ryan remained in the game and went on to fire 7.0 innings of one-run ball as part of a 2-1 Texas victory.

To commemorate the giveaway, Carter BloodCare and the Rangers will host a blood drive on the North Plaza near Texas Live! beginning at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The Budweiser Sky Porch Pregame Happy Hour is back for select Friday and Saturday games, and will offer red-dyed $4.49 beers as a nod to Ryan’s grit from the time gates open until first pitch on Friday evening. Fans attending Friday night’s game are also encouraged to don bloody lip makeup on their faces (full body paint will not be permitted) for an in-game “Bloody Lip Cam” activation on the jumbotron.

The first 10,000 fans in attendance of Sunday afternoon’s series finale against the Royals will receive a Star Wars Grogu Bobblehead presented by Coca-Cola. Tickets purchased through rangers.com/themenights will also come with a Texas Rangers-Madalorian co-branded hockey sweater.

All games of the club’s homestand, excluding the Friday, May 29 contest against the Royals, will air on Rangers Sports Network presented by Progressive (RSN). Friday’s game against Kansas City will be carried over the air on CW33.

RSN is available within the Rangers TV territory through select broadcast television, cable, satellite, and digital streaming platforms. For more information, visit rangers.com/tunein.
