Texas Rangers to host Orioles, White Sox in seven-game homestand August 1-7

Arlington, Texas— The Texas Rangers will return to Globe Life Field on Monday, August 1, for a seven-game homestand against the Baltimore Orioles and Chicago White Sox.

The seven-game homestand will begin with a three-game series against the Orioles. The Rangers will face the Orioles on Monday, August 1, at 7:05 p.m., Tuesday, August 2, at 7:05 p.m., and Wednesday, August 3, at 1:05 p.m.

The homestand will continue Thursday when the Rangers host the White Sox in a four-game series. Games will be played on Thursday, August 4, at 7:05 p.m., Friday, August 5, at 7:05 p.m., Saturday, August 6, at 6:05 p.m. and Sunday, August 7, at 1:35 p.m.

On Monday, August 1, the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation will host Mission Arlington/Mission Metroplex at Globe Life Field, and executive director Tillie Burgin will toss the ceremonial first pitch. All proceeds from Monday’s Texas 2 Split 50/50 Raffle will be donated to Mission Arlington/Mission Metroplex.

SMU Night at Globe Life Field will be held on Tuesday, August 2. Special ticket holders will receive a limited-edition co-branded Texas Rangers SMU cap, presented by Bally Sports Southwest. Tickets for SMU Night are available at texasrangers.com/udays.

New SMU head football coach Rhett Lashlee will toss the ceremonial first pitch, and the entire SMU football team will be recognized on the field before the 7:05 p.m. start.

Tuesday nights at Globe Life Field are Family Fun Tuesdays, offering fans significant savings on tickets, parking, and concessions. Additionally, from 5:15 to 5:45 p.m., two current Texas Rangers players or coaches will be signing autographs for children 13 and under. Prince Lebanese Grill will be the featured local restaurant at the Arlington Eats stand located near section 101 from Friday, August 5 to Sunday, August 7.

The Arlington staple was recently featured in the Texas Rangers and Comerica Bank small business series, which aims to support small businesses in the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area. Texas Rangers Hall of Famer Michael Young stopped by Prince Lebanese Grill to interact with owners, employees, and customers as well as talk through challenges and successes of the business. The first 15,000 fans in the ballpark Friday will receive a pack of 2000s 50th Anniversary Rangers Baseball Cards, presented by Globe Life. Each deck includes career stats from ten 2000s Rangers greats such as Michael Young, Mark Teixeira, and 2022 Rangers Hall of Fame inductee Ian Kinsler.

Friday, August 5, is Choctaw Casinos & Resorts Night at Globe Life Field. Special theme night ticket holders will receive a limited-edition Jon Gray “The Dealer” bobblehead. Tickets for the Choctaw Casinos & Resorts theme night are available at texasrangers.com/themenights.

On Saturday, the first 15,000 fans in the ballpark will receive a 50th Anniversary Pudge Bobblehead, presented by Coca-Cola. The bobblehead is designed to reflect the “old-time look” of bobbleheads in the 1970s. Included in the giveaway will be 100 entirely gold-painted bobbleheads and 500 partially gold-painted bobbleheads providing a few lucky fans with a limited-edition memento from the Rangers’ golden 50th anniversary season.

During pre-game ceremonies on Saturday, August 6, the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation will recognize the 2022 Richard Greene Scholars— Alexis Chukwunyere, Emily Buechele, Cindy Luu, Maite Marin, Brett Hoelscher and Zoey Jackson.

On Sunday, August 7, the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation will recognize the 2022 Mark Holtz, and Johnny Oates Scholarship recipients. Holtz scholarship recipients include Brenda Saldana, Charles Baggarly, Haley Cabrera and Xochitl Torres. Oates scholarship recipients include Eli Sullenger, Erika Kuntze, Ryan Rauss, Madison Lucero, Ella Lentz, Lillie Davidson, Diego Garcia and Deonne McClelland.

The first 15,000 fans in the ballpark Sunday will receive a Rangers 50th Anniversary T-shirt, presented by American Medical Response.
