Twins launch partnership with local artists for special T-Shirt Tuesday giveaway series

MINNEAPOLIS-ST. PAUL, MN – Celebrating the thriving local art scene by bringing a new twist to their classic marks, the Minnesota Twins today announced a special, five-date “T-Shirt Tuesday Artist Series” at Target Field. For one Tuesday game each month from May through September, these one-of-a-kind T-shirts, each showcasing an iconic Twins logo element through the unique style and personality of a Twin Cities-based artist, will be given to the first 5,000 fans in attendance.

The series begins on May 10 with a T-shirt designed by Alxndr Jones, featuring his take on the Minnie and Paul logo, as the Twins face the Houston Astros. It then continues June 21 (Twins vs. Cleveland) with Lindsey Made This’ ballpark-inspired art; July 12 (vs. Milwaukee) with Emiko Rainbow’s look at the “TC” mark; and August 2 (vs. Detroit) with Sotagraphics’ view of the Twins’ post-win outfield celebration of recent seasons. The series wraps up on September 13 (vs. Kansas City), when Jimmy Longoria brings a new spin on the Twins’ current primary logo.

Tickets for the Twins’ inaugural “T-Shirt Tuesday Artist Series” are available for purchase now at twinsbaseball.com/artistseries. More on each of the artists is below:
