Twins reinstate Mitch Garver from 10-day injured list

Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN – The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have reinstated catcher Mitch Garver from the 10-day Injured List.

Garver, who missed the last 27 games with a low-grade intercostal strain, is hitting .154 (8-for-52) with one home run, two RBI, seven runs scored and seven walks in 17 games for the Twins this season.

To make room on the 28-man roster, the Twins have optioned catcher/infielder Willians Astudillo. Astudillo played in eight games, hitting .250 (4-for-16) with one double, one home run, three RBI and four runs scored.
