Twins to host 2023 MSHSBCA Coaches Clinic

MINNEAPOLIS-ST. PAUL, MN – The Minnesota Twins, in partnership with the Minnesota State High School Baseball Coaches Association, will host the annual MSHSBCA Coaches Clinic from Friday, January 13-Saturday, January 14, 2023 at Target Field. The MSHSBCA’s annual clinics date back to the 1970s; 2023 will mark the first year the event will be run in conjunction with the Twins.

“The Twins are proud to partner with the MSHSBCA on this amazing opportunity for instruction and camaraderie among coaches,” said Twins Manager, Youth Engagement Chelsey Falzone. “Empowering the full potential of our youth starts with ensuring that those who lead them have the tools they need to succeed, and that’s what we strive for through these clinics.”

The two-day event commences on Friday, January 13 with a special welcome message, followed by a series of sessions covering topics from coaching fundamentals to leadership skills. The sessions on Saturday, January 14 will be split into two groups, one for advanced coaches and one for youth coaches. Both days are scheduled to feature special guest speakers from the college coaching ranks and the Twins’ baseball operations department (including President, Baseball Operations Derek Falvey and Assistant Director, Player Development Research Josh Ruffin), among other programming.

The clinic is open to coaches of all levels, and registration will open on November 21 at playballmn.com.
