Two Minor League players suspended

The Office of the Commissioner of Baseball announced today that two Minor League players have been suspended following violations of the Joint Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.

Free agent Minor League pitcher Julio Dilone has received a 60-game suspension after testing positive for Stanozolol, a performance-enhancing substance in violation of the Program.

Free agent Minor League pitcher Luis Gomez has received an 80-game suspension after testing positive for Stanozolol, a performance-enhancing substance in violation of the Program.

The suspensions of Dilone and Gomez will be effective upon their signing with a Major League organization.
