Umpires for Wild Card Series announced
Major League Baseball today announced the Major League Umpires who have been assigned to the 2025 Wild Card Series. The four Wild Card Series crew chiefs will be Vic Carapazza, Dan Iassogna, Alfonso Márquez and Todd Tichenor.
Carapazza will lead the umpires involving the American League Central Champion Cleveland Guardians, the AL’s third seed, hosting the sixth-seeded and division rival Detroit Tigers. Iassogna’s crew will work the Wild Card Series that features the fourth-seeded New York Yankees hosting the fifth-seeded and division rival Boston Red Sox.
In the National League, Márquez’s crew will be on the Wild Card Series with the third-seeded National League West Division Champion Los Angeles Dodgers welcoming the sixth-seeded Cincinnati Reds. Tichenor’s group will work the matchup featuring the fourth-seeded Chicago Cubs hosting the fifth-seeded San Diego Padres.

The Wild Card Series will also be available via the ESPN App. ESPN Radio will provide live national coverage of all 2025 MLB Postseason games, beginning with the Wild Card Series. All games telecast on Turner Sports platforms, FOX and FS1 will be available to MLB.TV subscribers who are authenticated subscribers to the applicable network through a participating pay TV provider.
