White Sox Announce Three Roster Moves

CHICAGO – Prior to tonight’s game vs. Toronto, the Chicago White Sox announced the following three roster moves:

Woodford, who will start tonight’s game vs. the Blue Jays, is 1-3 with a 5.26 ERA (29 ER/49.2 IP), one complete game and 42 strikeouts in 10 starts with Charlotte this season. The 6-foot-4, 215-pound Woodford owns a 2.40 ERA (8 ER/30.0 IP), 1.03 WHIP and 21 strikeouts over five starts in May. He allowed just three hits with zero walks and eight strikeouts in a 7.0-IP complete game on May 12 at Gwinnett.

Woodford, who signed with the White Sox as a minor-league free agent on January 10, has gone 10-7 with a 4.29 ERA (88 ER/184.2 IP) and 119 strikeouts in 80 career appearances (18 starts) over four major-league seasons with St. Louis. He originally was selected by the Cardinals in the supplemental first round (39th overall) of the 2015 First-Year Player Draft out of Plant High School in Tampa. Woodford will wear uniform No. 46.

Clevinger is 0-3 with a 6.75 ERA (12 ER/16.0 IP) and 15 strikeouts over four starts with Chicago after signing as a free agent on April 4.

Peralta was claimed off waivers from Seattle on Sunday. He was claimed by the Mariners off waivers from the Sox on April 2 and designated for assignment on May 23.

Following the moves, the White Sox 40-man roster remains at 40.
