Rays Announce 2027 Regular-Season Schedule
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.—The Tampa Bay Rays have released their 2027 regular-season schedule, which begins with a three-game series against the Baltimore Orioles at Tropicana Field from March 25-27. The Rays will begin their initial road trip of the season on April 2, when they visit the Minnesota Twins (April 2-5) and Texas Rangers (April 6-8). In coordination with Major League Baseball, all 30 major league clubs released their 2027 schedules today. The schedule is subject to change, and game times will be announced at a later date.
The Rays will begin their 30th season with a two-series homestand against the Baltimore Orioles and Los Angeles Angels (March 29-31). It marks the 16th time in the last 18 seasons (since 2010) the Rays will open at home, the 22nd time in 30 seasons, and the first time at Tropicana Field since 2024. The Rays are 15-14 all-time on Opening Day and 12-9 when they open at home.
From June 8 through July 11, the Rays will play 31 games in 34 days, including 15 of their final 24 games before the All-Star break at home. During that 24-game stretch, they are scheduled for their first of three homestands of nine games or longer, hosting the New York Yankees (June 15-17), Milwaukee Brewers (June 18-20), and Los Angeles Dodgers (June 22-24). They close the pre-All-Star break portion of the schedule with a six-game homestand against the Boston Red Sox (July 6-8) and Orioles (July 9-11).
In addition to the nine-game homestand between June 15-24, they will also host a season-long 10-game homestand from August 24 through September 2 (Detroit, Minnesota, Toronto) and a nine-game homestand from September 10-19 (Miami, Athletics, Colorado), combining to play their final 19 home games in a 25-game stretch, before closing the season with a six-game road trip to Boston and Toronto from September 21-26.
The Rays are scheduled for a trio of three-city road trips: a season-long 10-game trip from April 30 through May 9 (Toronto, New York-AL, New York-NL); a nine-game, West Coast trip between June 25 and July 4 (Los Angeles-AL, San Francisco, San Diego); and a nine-game, Midwest trip from August 13-22 (Chicago-NL, Detroit, Cleveland).
The Rays have seven home games and six road games against the Red Sox and Blue Jays, while they will play six home contests and seven road affairs against the Orioles and Yankees. The Rays will play seven games against the Twins and Rangers and have six games against the Athletics, Chicago White Sox, Cleveland Guardians, Detroit Tigers, Houston Astros, Kansas City Royals, Angels, and Seattle Mariners.
