Rays Announce Opening of Upper Deck for Longo's Legacy Weekend

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.—The Tampa Bay Rays announced that tickets in the upper deck at Tropicana Field will be available for Longo’s Legacy Weekend (July 10-12), honoring former Rays third baseman Evan Longoria. This will mark the first time the upper deck at Tropicana Field has been open since the American League Wild Card Series against the Texas Rangers in October 2023.

Upper deck seats available for purchase include sections 300-312 on both the first- and third-base sides.

“We are excited to celebrate Evan Longoria’s significant contributions to our organization,” said Rays Chief Business Officer Bill Walsh. “Opening the upper deck allows more fans to join us for this historic moment and contribute to what will surely be an electric atmosphere at Tropicana Field.”

To kick off Longo’s Legacy Weekend on Friday, June 10, the Rays will also launch the Devil Rays Deal for every Friday home game at Tropicana Field. Fans who purchase a Devil Rays Deal ticket will receive $10 in Burst Bucks via the Rays Wallet in the MLB Ballpark app to use on concessions or merchandise at Tropicana Field. Fans can also enjoy $5 12-ounce draft beers at the Rays Hall of Fame Bar and Grill until first pitch each Friday. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit RaysBaseball.com/Friday.

Longo's Legacy Weekend will also feature exclusive giveaway posters created by award-winning illustrator Rob Zilla. The first 5,000 fans at each game July 10-12 will receive one of three unique 11” x 17” posters. Fans who collect all three posters throughout the weekend can combine them into a comprehensive design showcasing Longoria.

A native of the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area, Rob Zilla creates compelling sports illustrations and portraits using an iPad Pro.

The poster giveaways are in addition to previously announced promotional items: an Evan Longoria Snapback Hat, presented by Union Home Mortgage, given to the first 10,000 fans on July 11, and an Evan Longoria Bobblecard, presented by DEX, for the first 10,000 fans on July 12.

Rob Zilla will also create a live-art drawing on July 11 from inside Tropicana Field. The art will be featured throughout the game broadcast on Rays.TV and on the video board in the ballpark, showing the progress of the illustration.

Specially branded Longo’s Legacy Weekend baseballs will be used in the games throughout the weekend. Click here for a photo of the baseball, featuring a silhouette of Longoria’s iconic Game 162 walk-off moment.
