Rays Highlight New Features, Spaces, Experiences, and Partners
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.—After 561 days, the Rays are back at Tropicana Field and will continue to celebrate with those who made this return possible. The Rays 2026 season is presented by Orlando Health.
During the pregame ceremonies before the Rays Home Opener on April 6, the team honored those who worked around the clock every day to restore Tropicana Field since Hurricane Milton came through Tampa Bay. Roof workers, first responders, and Rays staff were all part of the ceremony.
For the first time ever, a live drone took flight inside a dome during an MLB game for a local TV broadcast. Until today’s game at Tropicana Field, in-game drone usage inside a dome had been reserved exclusively for the World Series.
The Roof
After being open to the elements for 15 months, a new roof was installed at Tropicana Field. The roof was manufactured in Germany and then sent to China for assembly. It has 24 panels, each weighing 5,000 lbs, and has a thicker, more resilient fiberglass membrane (Polytetrafluoroethylene–PTFE) for better durability.

Seating and Party Areas
Among the enhancements to Tropicana Field is new and improved premium seating. The DEX Home Plate Club, located steps behind the action, has been completely overhauled to become a uniquely special and luxurious space for members. Spaces located behind the seats have been redesigned into connected premium areas for DEX Home Plate Club members. The first of these is a new speakeasy, featuring craft cocktails and a comfortable lounge - complete with monitors for fans to follow action around Major League Baseball. Just behind the speakeasy is a new specialty candy room with nostalgic, curated treats for fans of all ages.
The Baldwin Group Club, located on the fourth floor of Tropicana Field, underwent a comprehensive redesign, complete with new flooring, expanded media and video wall, lighting, and lounge furniture. Additionally, exciting new food and beverage offerings, including equipment and chef-driven action stations, have been upgraded to provide an elevated culinary experience for fans.
Located within The Baldwin Group Club, the newly reimagined Tropicana Room has also been fully renovated to serve as the exclusive dining area and lounge for the DEX Home Plate Club. These spaces will also be available for special events and rental opportunities on non-game days.
Two Rivers Batter’s Box is another new space at Tropicana Field with in-seat delivery that offers excellent behind-home views. These seats include a selection of food and beverages, featuring both classic ballpark favorites and premium specialty items, with liquor available for purchase.
The Executive Suites, located directly behind home plate on the main concourse level, provide a lavish hospitality experience. These suites feature high-end finishes and fixtures, in-suite restrooms, new appliances and furniture, and built-in induction systems for food service.
The reimagined Premium Suites on the new Webull Suite Level deliver a modern, elevated hospitality experience, featuring fully redesigned interiors with upscale finishes, enhanced lighting, upgraded technology, new cabinetry with quartz countertops, refreshed furniture and padded seating, and thoughtfully improved layouts designed for seamless entertaining and client hosting.
The new MaintenX SkyDeck, a social space above left field, offers all-inclusive ballpark fare, beer, wine, and soft drinks starting at $49. The space was redesigned with new wall art paying tribute to the Sunshine Skyway Bridge, and LED lighting to match the full in-game lighting experience. Fans can purchase tickets at RaysBaseball.com/SkyDeck.
Building Enhancements
A new, state-of-art video board with LED displays from digiLED was installed at Tropicana Field. Static signage on either side of the main video board has been replaced with two striking LED displays, each measuring 53.31’ wide by 36.1’ high. Combined, they create a canvas spanning 171.42’ wide by 36.1’ high, enabling dynamic content and animations to extend across all three displays in a seamless presentation. A new marquee ribbon display measuring 302’ wide by 6’ high now transforms the facade of the MaintenX SkyDeck, turning it into an immersive digital experience.
The Rays clubhouse was fully renovated and now includes an expanded gym area and larger lockers in both the visiting team and home clubhouse.
Fans were welcomed into the newly renovated “Cownose Clubhouse,” home to the seven cownose rays from The Florida Aquarium who weathered Hurricane Milton in October 2024. After the storm, the rays returned to The Florida Aquarium, then in January were at TECO's Manatee Viewing Center at Apollo Beach, before making their return to their permanent home at Tropicana Field ahead of the home opener. Located just behind the right-center field wall on the second floor and accessible via the Gate 1 elevator or staircase, the Cownose Clubhouse reopened for fans today offering the chance to touch the rays and learn more about them.

Concession stands have been strategically relocated to ease lines and keep fans moving, while two ShortStop markets on the upper level expand the seamless, checkout-free experience. The result is a smoother, faster, and more social game day atmosphere.
The Cubanos stand, located on the Budweiser Porch and the First Base Food Hall, is an ode to the region’s culture and history. Items include the Cuban Sandwich, Chicken Empanadas, and Cubano Hot Dog. Another concept located on the Porch is the Haute Potato. Items include the Flamin’ Hot Corn Dog, Pig + Potato bowl, and loaded hasselback potato dubbed, “The Haute Potato.”
The Rays Hall of Fame Bar and Grill is located on the field level in center field. The Smokin’ Rays BBQ Burger headlines the menu.
