Rays Host Blue Jays, Twins in Seven-game Homestand

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.—The Rays return to Tropicana Field on Monday to host the Toronto Blue Jays (May 27–29) and Minnesota Twins (May 30–June 2) in a seven-game homestand. The 2019 Rays season is presented by Tampa General Hospital.

Monday, May 27 vs. Toronto Blue Jays

First Pitch: 1:10 p.m.

Gates Open: 11:40 a.m.

Ceremonial First Pitch: Army Lt. General Richard Clark

Memorial Day Pregame Events: The SOCOM Rappel Team will rappel down from the A-ring catwalk at Tropicana Field to deliver the game ball. SOCOM will also present the colors during the National Anthem.

Ticket Special: Salute to Service presented by Suncoast Credit Union—Military and First Responders can receive two (2) complimentary tickets by visiting RaysBaseball.com/specials. Affiliation will be verified by ID.me, a third-party MLB approved verification service. This offer expires the night before the game at midnight.

Tuesday, May 28 vs. Toronto Blue Jays

Tuesday’s Champion: Before every Tuesday home game, the Rays host a youngster from the Make-A-Wish Foundation or Children’s Dream Fund as a part of the “Tuesday’s Champion” program presented by RIPA & Associates. The Rays will host 7-year-old Isabella Strasser from Make-A-Wish. As part of her special day, Isabella will meet Rays players and coaches during batting practice and throw a ceremonial first pitch.

Friday, May 31 vs. Minnesota Twins

First Pitch: 7:10 p.m.

Tommy Pham to Host Burg Baseball: Courtesy of Tommy Pham, players from Burg Baseball will get to meet the Rays outfielder and will receive passes to watch batting practice on the field before the game.

Rays Wives to Host the Home Run Club: Started in 2010 by former Rays player James Shields, the Home Run Club offers a sense of stability and belonging to hundreds of foster children and adoptive families throughout Tampa Bay. Each season, with the help of local foster care groups, hundreds of foster children become club members and attend a series of home games in a suite. When the suite isn’t being used for club kids, the suite is used for special adoption events. On May 31, the Rays Wives will join the Home Run Club members for the game, with some additional activities scheduled throughout the evening, including a craft project, balloon artist, mascot visits and more.

Saturday, June 1 vs. Minnesota Twins

First Pitch: 1:10 p.m.

Gates Open: 11:40 a.m.

Pitch, Hit & Run: MLB’s “Official Youth Skills Competition,” Pitch, Hit & Run, will host the top 12 baseball and top 12 softball qualifiers from Central and Northern Florida at Tropicana Field before the game. Winners from each age group will have the opportunity to advance to the National Finals during the 2019 Major League Baseball All-Star Week in Cleveland.

Baseball Tomorrow Fund Equipment Day: In partnership with MLB and the Baseball Tomorrow Fund, the Rays will be hosting an equipment drive inside the Gate 1 Rotunda and Gate 3 Community Corner from 11:40 a.m.–1:40 p.m. Fans that donate new or gently used baseball and/or softball equipment will receive a ticket voucher good for two (2) tickets to a 2019 Rays regular season home game. One voucher valid per household and some exclusions apply. All proceeds from the equipment drive will benefit Right Way Little League, along with a $5,000 check granted from the Baseball Tomorrow Fund.

Sunday, June 2 vs. Minnesota Twins

First Pitch: 1:10 p.m.

Gates Open: 11:40 a.m.

Promotion: Arm Sleeve presented by FOX Sports Sun. Available for fans 14 years and under while supplies last.

Ticket Special: Family Packs presented by Coca-Cola—For select Sunday home games, fans can purchase Family Packs, which include three (3) or more Outfield tickets and a 20 oz. Coke product with each ticket purchased. Family Pack tickets start at $17 per ticket.

Reading with the Rays Launch: The Rays and Suncoast Credit Union team up for the 12th year of Reading with the Rays. Reading with the Rays challenges kids from pre-K to 12th grade to read 24 hours over the summer. As students read to certain benchmarks they can go to their local library to pick up prizes such as a pennant, bandana, phone pop-up stand, and free tickets to a Rays game. Reading with the Rays helps stop summer reading loss among Tampa Bay students and since the start of the program, over 300,000 children have read more than 2 million hours. Starting June 2, kids across Tampa Bay can pick up a game card at their local library or at Tropicana Field.

For the Kids: Sundays are Family Fun Days, courtesy of Tampa General Hospital. Every Sunday home game will feature free parking for cars with four or more passengers and a variety of postgame activities for kids, including Kids Run the Bases and a DJ Kitty Dance Party. For the sixth consecutive season, concourse activities will be complimentary for kids 14 years and under on Sundays. In addition, two Rays players will sign autographs for kids 14 years and under along the right field stands from 12:00–12:30 p.m.

Bats N’ Brews: The Rays and iHeartMedia Tampa Bay’s “Bats N’ Brews” radio show, presented by Budweiser, airs live from the Budweiser Porch in center field and features Laura Diaz and Brody from WMTX, Mix 100.7.

Split the Pot: For all home games, fans can purchase Split the Pot raffle tickets at Tropicana Field as well as online at RaysBaseball.com/splitthepot. Both Tropicana Field and online raffle ticket purchases build to the same pot for a larger payout for each raffle winner. To purchase raffle tickets online, fans must be located in one of the following nine counties: Charlotte, Citrus, Hernando, Hillsborough, Manatee, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk and Sarasota. Proceeds from Split the Pot benefit the Rays Baseball Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization and the official charity of the Rays, and the Ted Williams Foundation.

The Outfielder Bar & Grill and Ballpark & Rec, presented by Samuel Adams, Early Entry: Located behind center field at Tropicana Field, the Outfielder Bar & Grill and Ballpark & Rec, presented by Samuel Adams, will open to fans three hours prior to first pitch for all home games at 4:10 p.m. or later.
