Red Sox Send Minor League OF Harold Rivas to BAL

BOSTON, MA—The Boston Red Sox today sent minor league outfielder Harold Rivas to the Baltimore Orioles, completing the August 3, 2026 trade for catchers Adley Rutschman and Jake Rogers.

Rivas, 18, was ranked by Baseball America at the time of the trade as Boston’s No. 21 prospect. The right-handed hitter has played in 46 games with the Florida Complex League Red Sox, making 43 starts in center field and two as the DH while batting .241 (41-for-170) with six doubles, four triples, six home runs, and 19 RBI. Signed by Boston as an international free agent in January 2025, the Venezuela native has batted .249 (82-for-329) with 12 doubles, eight triples, eight home runs, and 39 RBI across 92 career minor league games, all in the Red Sox’ system.
