Redlegs Run Recap

More than 3,100 runners and walkers participated in the 17th annual CollegeAdvantage Redlegs Run at Great American Ball Park earlier today, raising over $127,000 for the Reds Community Fund. 
• The overall top 5K male finisher was Charles Rooney from Cincinnati with a time of 16:13
• The overall top 5K female finisher was Kristen Leslie from Cincinnati with a time of 19:01
• The overall top 10K male finisher was Andrew Bryan from Cincinnati with a time of 35:18
• The overall top 10K female finisher was Daniella Orton from Washington D.C. with a time of 39:26
The winners have been invited to throw out ceremonial pitches prior to the Thursday, June 28 Reds vs. Milwaukee Brewers game at GABP.

2018 Redlegs Run by the numbers:
• $127,000 raised for the Reds Community Fund
• 5,000 CollegeAdvantage giveaways
• 4,000 slices of LaRosa's pizza
• 3,500 Chick-fil-A sandwiches
• 3,000 Kroger cookies
• 125 volunteers
• 100 gallons of Powerade
• 30 cases of bananas provided by the Castellini Group of Companies
• 25 states represented by participants 
All proceeds from the race directly benefit the Reds Community Fund and its youth baseball and softball outreach initiatives. 
Multiple youth baseball and softball teams supported by the Reds Community Fund served as volunteers on the 5K and 10K courses.
