Reds and Guardians families unite for charity softball game to support CASA & Reds Community Fund

The families of the Cincinnati Reds and Cleveland Guardians are coming together for a charity softball game benefiting CASA and the Reds Community Fund, uniting baseball communities across Ohio to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children.

On Monday, July 27 at 10 a.m. at the P&G MLB Cincinnati Reds Youth Academy in Roselawn, the wives, significant others and families of Reds and Guardians players will face off in a charitable softball game. The goal is to raise awareness and funds to support the following organizations:

“I’m so excited to be part of the upcoming charity softball game and support CASA’s and the Reds Community Fund’s incredible missions,” said Jordyn Pagán, wife of Cincinnati Reds pitcher Emilio Pagán. “It’s a great opportunity for our Reds Wives to bring our community together, raise awareness for children and families who need a voice, and make a meaningful impact.”

Last year, through a series of collaborative initiatives (including a charity softball game in Cleveland) the families of the Reds and Guardians raised a combined $18,500. Reds families contributed $11,000 of that total, helping CASA advocate for children who have experienced abuse or neglect by providing them with a voice in the courtroom and support in finding safe, permanent homes.

The event offers fans a unique opportunity to enjoy a fun, family-friendly competition while supporting organizations committed to strengthening communities and improving the lives of children.
