Redsfest Recap

Attendance at FOX Sports Ohio Redsfest presented by PNC Bank totaled 16,266 fans on December 1 and 2 at the Duke Energy Convention Center.
"We packed a season's worth of fun and excitement into Redsfest as only Reds Country knows how to do," said Phil Castellini, Reds President & COO. "Redsfest remains the largest team fan festival in all of MLB and the great buzz created around our team is the perfect launch for the 2018 season. Redsfest by the numbers:
• 45,000: Approximate number of autographs signed by over 75 current and former players, coaches, minor leaguers and broadcasters
• 16,266: Two-day attendance of FOX Sports Ohio Redsfest presented by PNC Bank
• $11,000: First place prize won by David Wise of Reading, Ohio by outlasting 582 participants in the 12th annual Prestige Audio Visual & Creative Services Rick Steiner Celebrity Texas Hold'em Poker Tournament presented by Ashlee Fence
• 1,200: Boys and girls participating in clinics on the Gorilla Glue Field of Dreams and Coca-Cola Reds Rookie Field
• 400: Volunteers at Redsfest each day 
• 268: Participants in the second annual Redsfest Bingo Tournament 
• 234: Home runs hit in the Redsfest Celebrity Wiffle Ball Home Run Derby
• 13: Minor league players attending community outreach events at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center and the Academy of Multilingual Immersion Studies
• 7: Awards presented by the Reds and the local chapter of the Baseball Writers' Association of America: 
   - Ernie Lombardi Award for Most Valuable Player: Joey Votto
   - Johnny Vander Meer Award for Most Outstanding Player: Raisel Iglesias
   - Joe Nuxhall Good Guy Award: Eugenio Suárez
   - Sheldon "Chief" Bender Award for Minor League Player of the Year: Nick Senzel 
   - Minor League Hitter of the Year: Jose Siri
   - Minor League Pitcher of the Year: Tyler Mahle 
   - Minor League Community Service Award: Aaron Fossas

All proceeds from Redsfest benefit the youth baseball and softball outreach programs of the Reds Community Fund, which impacts more than 45,000 kids and coaches each year.
Redsfest 2018 is scheduled for Nov. 30 and Dec. 1 at the Duke Energy Convention Center.
Next up for the Reds will be the annual Reds Caravan on January 25-28, 2018. The schedule and full details of the 2018 Caravan will be released on January 10.
