Sign up now for second annual Sleep Out at the Ballpark on Nov. 19!

The Philadelphia Phillies and Covenant House Pennsylvania are calling on fans, business leaders, students and community members to join the 2nd annual Phillies Sleep Out at the Ballpark at Citizens Bank Park. The event begins Thursday, November 19, at 6:00 p.m. and concludes Friday, November 20, at 6:00 a.m. After raising more than $1.1 million in 2025, funds raised from this year's event will help young people experiencing homelessness find safety, stability and a path toward independence.

Participants ages 13 and older will have the exclusive opportunity to sleep on the Phillies' outfield (weather permitting). To participate, individuals are asked to raise a minimum of $250 for ages 13–24 or $500 for ages 25 and older. Registration is open at sleepoutphillies.org. Highlights include:

As an added benefit, participants who raise more than $1,000 will receive four tickets to a future Phillies home game, while all other participants will receive two tickets. Tickets will be available for select home games, with dates to be announced at a later time.

As colder nights approach, thousands of young people across the region face the uncertainty of where they will sleep. Funds raised through Sleep Out will support Covenant House Pennsylvania's 24/7 shelter and comprehensive services, including meals, medical and mental healthcare, education, job training, and housing support. Since opening its doors in 1999, Covenant House Pennsylvania has served more than 57,000 young people, helping them move from crisis toward stability and independence.

“For many young people, homelessness means facing each day without safety or stability," said Covenant House Pennsylvania CEO Alexia Clarke. “Sleep Out allows our community to stand in solidarity with these young people while raising critical funds that change lives.”

Building on last year's record-breaking success, which saw a 77% increase in fundraising, the Phillies and Covenant House Pennsylvania hope to make this year's event the largest Sleep Out in Philadelphia's history.

“Sleep Out at the Ballpark is a powerful reminder that too many young people in our community don't have a safe place to call home,” said Phillies Chief Revenue Officer Jackie Cuddeback. “By spending one night on the field and fundraising for Covenant House, participants can make a real difference in the lives of youth experiencing homelessness. We're proud to partner with Covenant House and help provide the resources, stability and opportunities these young people deserve.”

November 19 – Nationwide Sleep Outs Hosted by Covenant House

More than 4.2 million young people ages 13–25 experience homelessness in the United States each year. Many are escaping abuse, family rejection or trafficking, with nowhere safe to turn. There were 10,705 identified children and youth experiencing homelessness in Philadelphia during the 2023-24 school year, representing a 28% increase since 2022 and an 86% increase over five years. The 2025 PIT Count found 250 sheltered and 16 unsheltered young adults. Of them 247 were unaccompanied young people.

Now in its 16th year, Covenant House's Sleep Out movement, connected by Cisco, will bring thousands of participants together across 20 cities on November 19. Events will take place at iconic venues including Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia, Yankee Stadium in New York City, MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, Gillette Stadium in Massachusetts and Soldier Field in Chicago.

The 2026 Sleep Out movement aims to raise more than $16 million to provide shelter, sanctuary and support to youth overcoming homelessness. Since its inception in 2011, more than 65,000 participants have given up their beds in solidarity with young people experiencing homelessness, raising $185 million for Covenant House programs and services.

In Philadelphia, Cencora returns as Grand Slam Sponsor for the second consecutive year, joining committed partners including The Honickman Companies, Cisco - Pennsylvania, SGC, Seer Interactive, Realtors and Friends, CAMCO, EPIC Insurance Brokers & Consultants, Accenture, Lockton, SEI, Truist and others in raising critical funds and awareness.
