Texas Rangers Academy Notebook for Feb. 6, 2026: Texas Rangers Youth Academy celebrates National Girls and Women in Sports Day

The Texas Rangers Youth Academy hosted a Women in Sports panel for middle and high school-aged athletes on Feb. 2, bringing together athletes, their families and Rangers employees for a conversation centered on career pathways in the sporting industry in celebration of National Girls and Women in Sports Day.

Panelists Rachel Vlacho (Staff Accountant), Delia Willms (Director, Suites & Premium Services), Lauren Cannon (Partnership Activation) and Hannah Wing (Infulencer Marketing) shared insights into their professional journeys, including the transition from internships to full time roles and their day-to-day responsibilities within the organization.

Throughout the discussion, panelists emphasized the value of mentorship, advocating for the importance of creating opportunities and setting future generations up for even greater success.

The event provided athletes with the opportunity to look beyond their current roles in sport and explore potential future career paths.

As the Academy celebrates National Girls and Women in Sports Day, the organization extends its gratitude to the women who support, mentor and invest in the development of the next generation.
