Twins acquire jacob pearson from Angels for international bonus pool cap space

Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN - The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have acquired outfielder Jacob Pearson from the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim in exchange for $1,000,000 in international bonus pool cap space money.
Pearson, 19, played 40 games for the AZL Angels last season, hitting .226 (35-for-155) with seven doubles, one triple, 13 RBI, five stolen bases and 15 walks. He was drafted by the Angels in the third round (85th overall) of the 2017 First-Year Player Draft out of West Monroe High School in West Monroe, Louisiana.
