La Raza 1400 AM/1470 AM was founded in 2005 by Santamaria Broadcasting and is the only Latino owned and managed radio station in Minnesota. The Upper Midwest is the 16th most important Latino Radio market in the nation and together the two stations encompass 30 miles around the Twin Cities and into northern areas. The two simulcast Spanish-Language stations reach over 200,000 members of the Minnesota Hispanic community 24 hours a day and seven days a week. Their mission is to empower and unite the Latino community through its community-oriented music, entertainment and informative programming.

The Twins, who were the first professional sports team in the Twin Cities market to broadcast their games in Spanish, return Twins Hall of Famer and color analyst Tony Oliva, and play-by-play announcer Alfonso Fernandez, to the broadcast booth for their 13th season together. All 50 games will include 15 minute pre and post-game show which feature exclusive interviews with players with the Twins organization and across the league. In addition, these broadcasts will be transmitted via SAP (secondary audio program) on the Twins television partner Fox Sports North.
