Twins announce #bombaballot for Google MLB All-Star Starters Election

MINNEAPOLIS-ST. PAUL, MN – With the 2019 Google MLB All-Star Starters Election beginning Wednesday, June 26 at 11 a.m. CT, the Minnesota Twins are asking their fans to support the #BombaBallot and send four players – first baseman C.J. Cron, designated hitter Nelson Cruz, shortstop Jorge Polanco and outfielder Eddie Rosario – to Cleveland for the Midsummer Classic on July 9.

Fans are allowed to #VoteTwins ONE time each at twinsbaseball.com/vote between 11 a.m. CT on Wednesday, June 26 and 3 p.m. CT on Thursday, June 27. Each fan who votes can purchase $11 Ballpark Access tickets (limit 6) to any one Monday-Thursday Twins home game during the month of August. Additionally, each fan who does #VoteTwins during the Starters Election is automatically entered into a Twins sweepstakes, with one winner receiving a trip for two to Cleveland for the 2019 All-Star Game (more info available soon at twinsbaseball.com/vote). Fans can vote a second time via Google; however, those votes are not eligible for the Twins ticket offer or sweepstakes.

The 28-hour election will determine the nine American League starters (all except pitcher) for the 2019 MLB All-Star Game presented by Mastercard. There are three finalists at each position and designated hitter (six outfielders) that advanced from the Primary Election. All finalists begin with zero votes; the top vote-getter at each position during the Starters Election will start at Progressive Field on July 9.

The Twins’ #BombaSquad will receive a visit from the Minneapolis Police Department Bomb Squad prior to tomorrow night’s game against the Tampa Bay Rays, as the MPD Special Operations Unit will bring one of its vehicles to Target Plaza beginning at 3:00 p.m. CT.
