Twins return Adrianza from rehab and reinstate from disabled list

Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN - The Minnesota Twins announced tonight that they have returned infielder Ehire Adrianza from his rehab assignment and have reinstated him from the 10-day disabled list. Adrianza missed the Twins last 12 games due to abdominal issues. He has played 26 games for the Twins this season, hitting .259 (14-for-54) with six walks and seven RBI.
To make room for Adrianza on the 25-man roster, the Twins have optioned first baseman/designated hitter Kennys Vargas to Triple-A Rochester. Vargas has played in 43 games for the Twins this season, hitting .230 (35-for-152) with seven doubles, seven home runs and 27 RBI.
