White Sox announce three roster moves

Prior to tonight's game vs. Texas, the Chicago White Sox placed outfielder Nicky Delmonico on the 10-day disabled list with a fractured third metatarsal on his right hand, and recalled right-handed pitcher Dylan Covey and infielder José Rondón from Class AAA Charlotte. Following last night's game, Chicago optioned right-hander Carson Fulmer to Charlotte.
Covey, 26, made his only appearance with the White Sox this season as the starter in Game 2 of a doubleheader on April 28 at Kansas City. He suffered the loss after allowing four runs on seven hits over 6.0 IP. Covey has gone 3-1 with a 2.33 ERA (10 ER/38.2 IP), 35 strikeouts and a .232 opponents average (32-138) in seven starts with Charlotte this season. His 2.33 ERA is the eighth-lowest in the International League.

Rondón, 24, is hitting .272 (31-114) with four doubles, two triples, four home runs, 10 RBI and 16 runs scored in 28 games with the Knights this season. He was with Chicago from May 5-13 and went 3-13 (.231) over six games.
Delmonico, 25, left last night's game in the second inning after being hit by a Matt Moore pitch, and is expected to be out 4-6 weeks. He is hitting .226 (26-115) with four doubles, one triple, one home run, seven RBI and 16 walks over 36 games this season, his second with the White Sox.
