Will Smith to Host Third Annual Community Clinic with Local Elementary School
WHAT: The Los Angeles Dodgers are partnering with Will and Cara Smith’s Catching Hope Foundation to host the third annual Catching Hope Community Clinic at UNIQLO Field at Dodger Stadium for elementary students. On Tuesday, the stadium will play host to 130 students from Marquez Charter Elementary School for an all-inclusive clinic featuring rotating stations with STEM-based activities, arts and crafts, agility courses and Quick Ball. The Dodgers Training Academy and Playworks will be joining the Community Clinic and assisting with some of the on-field activations, while Discovery Cube will return for their second year and engage students in interactive STEM activations, and new partner Parker Anderson Enrichment will lead students in nutrition and cooking activations.
Blue Prints will be on site capturing memorable photo keepsakes with the 2025 World Series trophy. In addition, Will Smith is sending each student home with a Dodger swag bag, including a special Will Smith baseball card, water bottle and Nike jump rope.
Los Angeles Unified School District’s Marquez Charter Elementary School was destroyed in the January 2025 Palisades wildfire, displacing hundreds of students, teachers and staff. Since returning to its campus in the fall, students and staff have been learning in temporary structures. This initiative supports ongoing efforts to rebuild, uplift and inspire the Marquez school community by providing students with engaging, hands-on experiences that promote wellness, creativity, and joy.
