Yankees acquire Minor League OF Eric Young Jr. from Milwaukee

Today the Yankees acquired minor league outfielder Eric Young Jr. from Milwaukee in exchange for cash considerations. He will be assigned to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
 
Young, 31, played in 116 games this season with Triple-A Colorado Springs, batting .263 (76-for-289) with 48R, 9 doubles, 2 triples, 3HR, 30RBI, 31BB and 23SB and a .338 OBP.
 
Originally selected in the 30th round of the 2003 First-Year Player Draft, the switch-hitting outfielder has played seven Major League seasons, batting .247 (371-for-1,505) with 237R, 58 doubles, 20 triples, 8HR, 88RBI and 144SB in 557 combined games with Colorado (2009-13), New York-NL (2013-15) and Atlanta (2015). In 2013, he led the National League with 46 stolen bases.
