Yankees Acquire OF Heliot Ramos

YANKEES ACQUIRE OUTFIELDER HELIOT RAMOS

The New York Yankees today announced that they have acquired outfielder Heliot Ramos from the San Francisco Giants in exchange for minor league infielder Kaeden Kent and left-handed pitcher Henry Lalane.

Ramos, 26, has hit .264/.304/.424 (76-for-288) with 36R, 13 doubles, 3 triples, 9HR, 34RBI, 16BB and 3SB in 74 games this season for the Giants. He has appeared defensively in left field (67 games/64 starts) and right field (7 games/starts) in 2026.

A 2024 All-Star with San Francisco, Ramos has batted .292/.343/.492 (19-for-65) with 5 doubles, 1 triple, 2HR and 5BB vs. left-handed pitchers this season.

Over parts of five Major League seasons with San Francisco (2022-26), Ramos has batted .257/.316/.419 (375-for-1,459) with 184R, 64 doubles, 7 triples, 53HR, 177RBI, 111BB and 15SB in 386 career games. He has appeared defensively at all three outfield positions in his career (287 games/276 starts in left field; 63 games/59 starts in centerfield; 31 games/23 starts in right field). Ramos has hit .279/.345/.501 (112-for-401) with 31 doubles, 2 triples, 18HR and 38BB in his career vs. left-handed pitchers.

The Maunabo, P.R., native was originally selected by San Francisco in the first round (19th overall) of the 2017 First-Year Player Draft.

Kent, 22, has batted .302/.359/.433 (97-for-321) with 55R, 20 doubles, 2 triples, 6HR, 43RBI, 29BB and 20SB in 76 games this season with High-A Hudson Valley. Over parts of two minor league seasons in the Yankees organization (2025-26), the infielder has hit .274/.326/.392 (116-for-423) with 63R, 22 doubles, 2 triples, 8HR, 60RBI, 32BB and 20SB in 101 career games. The Austin, Tex., native was originally selected by the Yankees in the third round of the 2025 First-Year Player Draft out of Texas A&M University.

Lalane, 22, has gone 4-1 with a 2.77 ERA (78.0IP, 52H, 25R/24ER, 26BB, 98K, 4HR) in 16 combined games (15 starts) with Single-A Tampa (13G/12GS) and High-A Hudson Valley (3G/GS). Over parts of six minor league seasons in the Yankees organization (2021-26), the left-handed pitcher has gone 10-9 with a 3.34 ERA (221.0IP, 166H, 104R/82ER, 92BB, 258K, 13HR) in 60 games (54 starts). The Bronx, N.Y., native was originally signed out of the Dominican Republic as a non-drafted free agent on May 5, 2021.
