Yankees trade Foley to Rockies for Valdez

The Yankees acquired Minor League RHP Jefry Valdez from Colorado in exchange for RHP Jordan Foley on Tuesday.
Valdez, 23, went 3-1 with four saves and a 5.82 ERA (34.0IP, 48H, 27R/22ER, 9BB, 45K, 2HR) in 27 relief appearances for Single-A Boise in 2018. His 11.91 K/9.0 IP ratio ranked fifth in the Northwest League (min. 30.0IP). The native of Hato Mayor, Dominican Republic, was signed by the Rockies as a non-drafted free agent on May 8, 2015.
