MADISON, AL – The Biloxi Shuckers (55-57, 20-27) were walked off by the Rocket City Trash Pandas (59-56, 24-23), 5-4 on Wednesday evening at Toyota Field. Despite the 13th straight loss for Biloxi, Braylon Payne (1-for-4) and Luis Peña (1-for-4) each recorded their first Double-A RBI.

The Shuckers plated a pair to start the scoring in the fourth, including Payne’s RBI double to knock in his first run as a Shucker, followed by a Damon Keith sacrifice fly. The Trash Pandas cut the deficit in the home half with a leadoff bomb from Jake Munroe to make it 2-1. Peña extended the Biloxi lead in the fifth to 4-1 with a two-run base knock. Rocket City racked up four unanswered runs in the final five innings, including an Arjun Nimmala RBI double in the fifth, a Juan Flores two-run single in the sixth, and a walk-off solo shot by Anthony Scull in the ninth to put the nail in the coffin for the contest.

Luis Peña’s lone hit gave him his first multi-RBI night in just his second Double-A game. Dylan O’Rae (2-for-3) recorded a pair of hits in the leadoff spot as well for the Shuckers.

Camden Minacci registered the win for Rocket City, with Edwin Jimenez (1-2) on the downside for Biloxi. Travis Smith (1.0ip, 0r) twirled a scoreless frame out of the Shuckers bullpen.

The Shuckers next chance to get back in the win column comes when they take on the Trash Pandas Thursday night at Toyota Field. Manuel Rodriguez (10-4, 4.95) starts on the mound for Biloxi, with Jose Gonzalez (3-3, 5.45) going for Rocket City. First pitch for game three in the six game set is scheduled for 6:35 p.m. Coverage begins at 6:15 p.m. with the On-Deck Show on the Biloxi Shuckers Radio Network and The Hype 100.9.
