MADISON, AL – The Biloxi Shuckers (56-58, 21-28) erased an early eight run lead for the Rocket City Trash Pandas (60-57-47, 25-24) but still fell short 10-8 on Friday night at Toyota Field. The Shuckers matched a season-high with eight runs in the fourth inning but failed to score after that fortuitous frame.

The first eight Trash Pandas runs were plated between a pair of four-run innings in the second and third. A Juan Flores 2-RBI double and a Jake Thompson two-run single made up the second inning scoring. Two homers in the third, including a three-run shot from Eddie Micheletti Jr. and an Anthony Scull solo shot helped Rocket City collect four more to make it 8-0. Biloxi brought the game to a deadlock in the fourth thanks to a Jesús Made RBI single, an Andrew Fischer three-run bomb, a Mike Boeve run-scoring base knock, and a Dylan O’Rae three-run dinger. Jacob Cozart slugged a solo home run the other way to retake the 9-8 lead for the Trash Pandas in the seventh, and Jake Thompson cashed in some insurance in the eighth with a solo jack of his own to secure double digits.

Home runs from Andrew Fischer (1-for-3) and Dylan O’Rae (1-for-4) resulted in a trio of RBIs for each player. Fischer’s Minor League-leading 38th homer puts him in sole possession for the 2nd-most home runs by a Brewers MiLB player in franchise history (since 1970). Damon Keith (2-for-3) did damage of his own with a multi-hit night.

Nicolo Pinazzi picked up his first win in a Rocket City uniform, with Jack Seppings (0-4) on the downside, and Kenyon Yovan collecting his second save of the series.

The Shuckers are back in action against the Trash Pandas on Saturday night at Toyota Field. Jaron DeBerry (7-7, 4.57) gets the start for Biloxi with Tyler Bremner (0-2, 7.00) on the bump for Rocket City. The Shuckers seek a second win in this series when first pitch takes place at 6:35 p.m. Coverage begins at 6:15 p.m. with the On-Deck Show on the Biloxi Shuckers Radio Network and The Hype 100.9.
