BILOXI, MS – The Biloxi Shuckers have announced they will host a FREE community movie night featuring Disney's Zootopia 2 on Friday, August 21, at Keesler Federal Park as a special thank you to the local first responders who serve the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Gates will open at 6:00 p.m., with the movie beginning at 7:00 p.m. on the right-field videoboard. The event is free and open to the public, with a designated priority seating area reserved for local first responders in appreciation of their service. Fans are encouraged to bring blankets to enjoy the movie from the outfield grass. Chairs and wagons will not be permitted on the field. Concession stands will be open throughout the evening, offering popcorn, snacks and a variety of food and beverage options.
In addition to the movie, fans can enjoy face painting from Pegasus Paint and Pose along with interactive displays and activities from community partners, including Wild at Heart Wildlife Rescue, the USM Marine Education Center, the Biloxi Police Department, Hattiesburg Zoo, Girl Scouts of Greater Mississippi, Mississippi Department of Marine Resources/Marine Patrol and the Lynn Meadows Discovery Center.
The event also serves as a kickoff to the Shuckers' First Responders Night on Friday, August 28, when the team will honor the everyday heroes who serve communities across the Gulf Coast.
