Keys Top Claws 2-0 on Friday at ShoreTown Ballpark

JERSEY SHORE, NJ - JT Quinn threw 5.2 scoreless innings and Frederick topped BlueClaws 2-0 on Friday to take their fourth win in a row at ShoreTown Ballpark.

The Keys have now taken the first four games of the series from Jersey Shore, this time in a low scoring game after they plated 29 runs over the first three games. 

Frederick took the lead in the top of the fourth inning on a groundout by Randal Diaz to bring in the game's first run. 

They extended their lead in the seventh inning on a groundout from Colin Turf to bring home Braylin Tavera and make the lead 2-0. 

Jersey Shore had the bases loaded in the eighth with just one out but Bradley Brehmer came in and got Nate Humphreys to ground into a 3-6-1 double play to end the inning. Brehmer got the last three outs for his first save of the season. 

Keys starter JT Quinn earned the win, striking out seven over 5.2 scoreless innings. 

BlueClaws starter Ryan Dromboski threw two scoreless innings in his first appearance since June 24th. Kevin Warunek, also reinstated from the IL before the game, struck out the side in the third inning in his first outing of the season. 

Devin Saltiban had two hits for Jersey Shore in the loss. 

The teams continue their series on Saturday night at 7:05 pm. RHP Tanner Gresham starts for Jersey Shore.
