
Portland, Maine- Portland Sea Dogs shortstop Henry Godbout has been selected as the Eastern League Player of the Week for the week of August 31st through September 6th, and Sea Dogs lefty Hayden Mullins as the Eastern League Pitcher of the Week.
Godbout hit .455 (10-for-22) in five games during the week with five runs scored, four home runs and six RBI. The 22-year-old hit safely in four out of the five games and has hit safely in 12 of his last 13 games. He collected three hits in each of the final three games of the week. His best game of the week came on September 3rd when he went 3-for-4 with a double and two home runs, including the game-winning home run in the ninth inning as the Sea Dogs defeated the Chesapeake Baysox 5-4. Godbout led the league with four home runs, a 1.045 SLG, and a 1.500 OPS.
Since joining the Sea Dogs on August 11th from High-A Greenville, Godbout is hitting .286 in 19 games with eight home runs and 18 RBI.
Godbout is ranked by MLB.com as the No. 6 prospect in the Red Sox organization. He was drafted by the Red Sox as the 75th overall pick in the 2025 First-Year Player Draft.
Mullins made one start during the week on September 2nd, holding the Baysox to one hit over six scoreless innings while striking out 10 in a 5-4 loss to the Baysox in 10 innings.
In 21 games (19 starts) this season with Portland Mullins is 3-5 with a 4.15 ERA. He ranks fifth in the Eastern League with 127 strikeouts in 86.2 innings.
The 25-year-old is rated by MLB.com as the No. 27 prospect in the Red Sox organization. He was selected by the Red Sox in the 12th round of the 2022 First-Year Player Draft.
The Sea Dogs have owned the Eastern League weekly accolades this season, as this marks the 12th and 13th time this season that a Sea Dogs player has been honored. Godbout is the fourth different Sea Dogs player and the fifth time this season that a Sea Dogs player has been named Eastern League Player of the Week, joining Johanfran Garcia (August 24-30 & June 8-14), Ronald Rosario (July 13-19), and Brooks Brannon (May 4-10).
While Hayden Mullins is the sixth different Sea Dogs pitcher and the eighth time a Sea Dogs pitcher has been named Eastern League Pitcher of the Week joining Max Carlson (July 20-July 26), Blake Wehunt (June 22-28, June 30-July 5), Anthony Eyanson (May 18-24), Patrick Halligan (May 11-17), and John Holobetz (April 13-19).
Additionally, Franklin Arias was named the Eastern League Player of the Month for April.
