Sea Dogs to Offer Free Tickets to First Responders for September 11 Remembrance Game

Portland Fire Department to Present Honor Guard as Sea Dogs Pay Tribute to First Responders

September 1st, 2026

Portland, Maine — The Portland Sea Dogs will honor the service and sacrifice of first responders as part of the team’s September 11 Remembrance Game, with free tickets available to first responders when the Sea Dogs host the Binghamton Rumble Ponies (Mets) at 6:00 PM at Delta Dental Park at Hadlock Field in Portland, Maine.

The Sea Dogs will recognize firefighters, police officers, EMTs, paramedics, and other first responders throughout the evening as the organization joins the community in remembering those who lost their lives in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, while paying tribute to the courage and selflessness demonstrated by first responders that day and every day.

As part of the pregame ceremonies, the Portland Fire Department will have the honor of presenting the colors with an Honor Guard. There will be a moment of silence pregame as the Sea Dogs commemorate and remember the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001.

First responders will be eligible to receive a complimentary ticket to the September 11 game. First responders can claim their complimentary tickets at seadogs.com.  Each first responder may receive a free ticket for themselves and a guest.

“September 11 is an important opportunity for us to remember the lives that were lost while also recognizing the extraordinary bravery and sacrifice of first responders,” said Sea Dogs General Manager Jesse Scaglion. “We are proud to welcome first responders to the ballpark as our guests and to show our appreciation for everything they do to protect and serve our communities.”

The Sea Dogs’ final homestand of the season runs from September 8th through the 13th.  Tickets are available for all games and can be purchased online at seadogs.com or by calling 207-879-9500.
