Twins starter Joe Ryan, who was left off Team USA’s roster during pool play after dealing with back inflammation early in Spring Training, is a possibility to be added to the Team USA roster if it beats Canada in Friday's quarterfinal game (FOX, 8 p.m. ET).
Ryan made his spring debut on Tuesday after throwing three scoreless innings against the Rays.

It remains unclear if Ryan will end up pitching for Team USA. As of Thursday, the plan was for Ryan to throw a bullpen session on Saturday, which would likely remove him from consideration to pitch for the Americans in a potential semifinal matchup the following day. It's possible he'd be available if Team USA makes it to the WBC final on Tuesday.
