Clayton Kershaw's reaction to serving up a homer to Yasiel Puig in Puig's return to LA was perfect

Monday night in Los Angeles featured an undeniably compelling storyline: Clayton Kershaw took the hill for his first start of the season, and he was facing the Reds -- which meant the return of Yasiel Puig to Dodger Stadium, the only ballpark he'd called home since his MLB debut in 2013.

Seeing him in red coming out of the opposing dugout makes for an unfamiliar visual, I can't lie.

It was a high-energy matchup, and Puig took full advantage. In his very first at-bat in his return as a visiting player, Puig crushed a no-doubt, two-run homer to center field on a 1-2 pitch, tossing the bat away for good measure.

Kershaw's reaction to having served up a homer to his longtime teammate and emotional figurehead of the franchise was pretty much how you'd react in the same situation.

Feels like we've all been there before, in one way or another.
