Facing elimination for the second straight day, the Red Sox have flip-flopped the top two spots in their lineup. The veteran Pedroia will bat leadoff while Bogaerts, who has yet to record a hit in the series, moves into the two spot.
The remainder of Boston's order remains the same from the one manager John Farrell used in Game 3, in which the club broke out for 10 runs, including a six-run seventh inning. The only change to the bottom half of the lineup is Vazquez behind the plate in lieu of Sandy León, who went 2-for-4 in Sunday's 10-3 win.
No one in the Red Sox lineup has faced Morton more than six times other than Ramirez, who is 1-for-15 lifetime off the right-hander.
Astros manager A.J. Hinch is rolling with the same lineup as he used in Game 3 with the exception of Gattis, who fills in for Carlos Beltrán at designated hitter. The 31-year-old Gattis had a big Game 1, going 2-for-3 with a pair of doubles in the Astros' 8-2 win.
Altuve, who went 3-for-4 on Sunday to increase his Division Series batting average to .727, and Reddick, who also had a multi-hit day in Game 3, each have a home run off Porcello in their careers.
