Braves prospect Lodise highlights hot stretch with consecutive 4-hit games

Alex Lodise already made noise in the Braves system with his power. Now his ability to hit for average is turning heads as well.
Atlanta’s No. 5 prospect recorded a four-hit game for the second consecutive day for High-A Rome in Sunday’s offensive extravaganza of a 16-14 loss to Asheville at HomeTrust Park.
Lodise launched his 25th home run of the season – his fourth in 17 games with Rome – in the first inning, then roped a trio of singles. With another four-hit day on Saturday, Lodise went 10-for-17 over the final three games of the series with seven RBIs and 18 total bases.
The 22-year-old is hot in August with a .358/.444/.660 slash line in 13 games. Lodise's adjustment to High-A has gone smoothly, with a 1.005 OPS since his promotion in late July. The shortstop earned that bump after a solid run for Single-A Augusta with 21 dingers -- including three multihomer games -- and a .826 OPS in 94 games.
Lodise's strong campaign comes after a brief taste of pro ball last season in which he slashed .252/.294/.398 with one homer and nine RBIs in 25 games for Rome.
Before the Braves selected him in the second round of the 2025 Draft, Lodise put together a largely successful college career across three seasons at Florida State in which he posted a 1.003 OPS with 26 homers in 122 games.
