Here's everything to know for Brewers camp

MILWAUKEE – Anyone who has visited Pat Murphy’s office over the years knows that he is a prolific note-taker. His desk is perpetually covered in calendars, yellow legal pads, notecards and countless slips of paper, covered corner to corner with things to do, messages to impart, calls to make. He’s been scratching notes ever since the final out of the NLCS at Dodger Stadium.
And now it’s time to turn those ideas into another season of action. Brewers pitchers and catchers – and the manager – are reporting to Spring Training.
“It’s not just ‘rinse and repeat,’ you know what I mean?” Murphy said. “It’s a whole new year with whole new expectations, new players and a new mindset. There’s all sorts of things to drive home in Spring Training that go unnoticed. We’re not sneaking up on anybody anymore.”
Here’s what you need to know as Murphy & Co. get to work:
When is the first workout for pitchers and catchers?
Pitchers and catchers formally report to camp on Tuesday, and the first official workout is on Wednesday.
What is the date of the first full-squad workout?
Feb. 17
Where is the team’s facility?
American Family Fields of Phoenix is located at 3805 N. 53rd Ave. in Phoenix.
Can fans attend workouts?
Yes, and the intimacy of Brewers camp compared to other venues in Arizona makes it a fantastic experience for fans. Once the full squad is in action on the fields at the southwest corner of the complex, fans can get right up to the fence to watch pitchers warm up, defenders go through drills and hitters take swings. But you have to channel your inner birddog scout to figure it all out, since the Brewers don’t release times or other details for their workouts.
Who are some new faces fans should know?
You’ll see a lot of familiar faces. Among the few newcomers are right-hander Brandon Sproat and infielder Jett Williams, the two prospects who came to Milwaukee from the Mets in the Freddy Peralta trade. Williams is a non-roster invitee, but Sproat is on the 40-man roster and will be competing for a spot in the starting rotation.
Reliever Angel Zerpa came to the Brewers from the Royals in the Isaac Collins trade and figures to play a prominent bullpen role. There’s also the Brewers’ lone Major League free-agent addition to date, outfielder Akil Baddoo.

Who are some of the top prospects invited to Major League camp?
The headliner is Jesús Made, the 18-year-old shortstop and top Brewers prospect who ranks No. 3 on MLB Pipeline’s refreshed Top 100. That actually puts Made a year ahead of another recent star of Milwaukee’s international signing class, Jackson Chourio, who didn’t get a locker in big league camp until after he’d signed his record-setting contract extension prior to the 2024 season. Made won’t make the Opening Day roster, but he touched the Double-A level at the end of last season and can use this experience alongside the likes of Chourio, William Contreras and Christian Yelich to build confidence going into 2026.
Other players in camp who rank among MLB Pipeline’s Top 30 Milwaukee prospects are Williams (No. 3), Cooper Pratt (No. 4), Jeferson Quero (No. 5), Sproat (No. 6), Logan Henderson (No. 7), Luke Adams (No. 10), Luis Lara (No. 14), Craig Yoho (No. 18), Brock Wilken (No. 19), Robert Gasser (No. 20), Tyler Black (No. 26) and Coleman Crow (No. 27). Of those players, Made, Williams, Pratt, Adams, Lara and Wilken are non-roster invitees; the rest are on the 40-man roster.

What is Spring Breakout and when is the game?
MLB Spring Breakout is an event from March 19-22 that showcases baseball’s future, a series of exhibition games between teams composed of each organization’s top 20-25 prospects. This year the Brewers will play a pair of Spring Breakout games: March 20 against the Mariners at home and March 22 against the A’s in Mesa.
Will the team’s games be televised?
To be determined. When the club announced Feb. 2 that Major League Baseball would produce and distribute Brewers telecasts in 2026, president of business operations Rick Schlesinger said Spring Training games were under discussion. Typically, the Brewers will televise a handful of Cactus League games, with field reporter Sophia Minnaert interviewing players in the dugout.
When is the club’s last game in Arizona?
The Brewers wrap up the Arizona portion of Spring Training on March 22 against the Cubs in Mesa.
Will there be any additional exhibitions before the regular season?
Yes. For the first time in several years, the Brewers will play exhibition games in front of the home fans. They are scheduled to host Elly De La Cruz and the Reds at Milwaukee’s American Family Field on March 23 at 6:40 p.m. and March 24 at 4:10 p.m. Tickets, which range from $12-$29, are on sale now.
What are the details for Opening Day?
The Brewers will face an old American League rival when the White Sox come to Milwaukee for Opening Weekend. Opening Day is Thursday, March 26, at 1:10 p.m. CT.
