World Series champs bring the laughs as Yelich, Turang, Murphy appear on SNL

MILWAUKEE -- Live from New York, it’s the World Series champs!

The Brewers’ Christian Yelich and Brice Turang and manager Pat Murphy made a collective cameo during Saturday Night Live’s Weekend Update, convincing the recurring character Drunk Uncle that yes, a team named for beermaking really did win the World Series.

And there was a throwback to Yelich’s previous brush with SNL from his time with the Marlins.

“Hey, wait a minute,” said returning cast member Bobby Moynihan. “You’re Pete Davidson, right?”

It’s not the first time a Milwaukee Brewer appeared from Studio 8H at Rockefeller Center. Brewers radio broadcaster Bob Uecker hosted episode two of season 10 on Oct. 13, 1984, when he was known for his Miller Lite ads and regular appearances on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson.
