LOS ANGELES -- Cody Bellinger’s bat came alive again for his National League-leading eighth home run of the season during Friday night's 8-5 loss to the Brewers in a rematch of last year's NL Championship Series.

Bellinger, who joined Willie Mays as the only players with seven homers in the first 10 games of the season, had a four-game homer drought in St. Louis, where the Dodgers were swept by the Cardinals.

In his first at-bat on Friday night, he hustled his way on base with an infield single. He has reached base safely in 14 of 15 games and entered the game with the NL’s fourth best on-base percentage at .468.
