Bradford builds momentum with 2nd straight scoreless rehab outing

Cody Bradford dazzled in a rehab outing on Thursday.
Bradford, who is recovering from left UCL surgery, tossed four scoreless innings for Triple-A Round Rock, throwing 40 of 56 pitches for strikes. The 28-year-old left-hander struck out seven batters, didn’t issue a walk and allowed four hits.
Bradford is slowly building momentum for a return to the Majors at some point in August. The lefty began his rehab stint with Double-A Frisco on July 12 and has now made four appearances in the Minors. In his previous start before Thursday, Bradford threw three scoreless innings for Frisco.

It’s been a long journey for Bradford, who underwent UCL surgery in late June 2025 and hasn’t pitched in the Majors since September 2025. It’s unclear what role Bradford will take when he returns, given that the Rangers' rotation is pretty much set in the top four spots and has received solid contributions from Cal Quantrill in the fifth spot.
