As his prospect stock continues to rise, so too does Mike Sirota's on-base streak.
The Dodgers' No. 4 prospect reached safely for the 50th consecutive game during Double-A Tulsa's 7-6 walk-off win over Wichita on Thursday night at ONEOK Field.
Demetrio Crisantes (AZ No. 5) was the last Minor Leaguer to surpass the 50-game mark, reaching in 57 straight contests between the Rookie-level Arizona Complex League and Single-A California League in 2024.
Although a trio of Wind Surge hurlers kept the scorching-hot Sirota out of the hit column, he did reach base on three walks, including a key free pass in the bottom of the ninth inning as the Drillers rallied to victory.
It was a relatively quiet night for the 22-year-old who has skyrocketed to the upper echelon of prospectdom in 2026. Sirota grounded out and struck out looking in his first two plate appearances before extending his streak in the fifth. He walked again in the seventh and had a chance to be the hero in the ninth, coming up with runners at first and third and one out.
Even in this situation, Sirota didn't expand the zone and walked on four pitches to load the bases. It was the third time this season the native of Mineola, New York, earned three walks in one game. His 53 bases-on-balls rank sixth in the Minors and are five more than he had in four fewer games in 2025.
Of course, Sirota's offensive exploits go far deeper than walks. The 2024 third-round Draft pick has been on a tear since the second week of the season. His production at High-A Great Lakes -- a .325/.478/.602 slash line in 35 games -- earned him a promotion to Tulsa on May 19.
Sirota hasn't missed a beat since joining the Drillers, putting together a .356/.500/.575 slash line in 20 contests. The 6-foot-2, 188-pound outfielder last failed to reach base safely on April 8 -- his fifth game of the year.
Even taking into account his 1-for-17 start to 2026, Sirota is slashing .337/.486/.592 with 29 extra-base hits, 10 homers, 52 runs and 39 RBIs in 55 games. HIs OBP is tops among all qualified Minor Leaguers while his 1.078 OPS ranks seventh.
Almost as remarkable as his on-base streak has been the staggering number of times he's reached on a base knock. Sirota has been held without a hit in just 14 of his 55 games this season and four of those came in his first five contests. He's been a .363 hitter since that tough start, long in the rearview mirror thanks to the streak.
