Dodgers' spring invites led by prospect trio

LOS ANGELES -- The Dodgers announced the 21 non-roster players receiving invitations to Major League Spring Training camp on Friday, a list that includes pitching prospect Dustin May, shortstop prospect Gavin Lux and catching prospect Will Smith.
At Nos. 3, 4 and 5 in the Dodgers' system (according to MLB Pipeline), May, Lux and Smith are the highest-ranking invitees who are not already on the 40-man roster (like No. 1 prospect Alex Verdugo). Other ranked invitees are right-hander Mitchell White (No. 8), outfielder DJ Peters (No. 9), right-hander Tony Gonsolin (No. 15) and infielder Omar Estevez (No. 30).
