SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico -- After trading zeros deep into the night, it looked like the Indians would finally bring an end to what developed into the longest regular-season game in Hiram Bithorn Stadium history. That was until the Twins matched the Tribe's go-ahead homer with an impressive blast of their own.
In the top of the 14th inning, Indians slugger Edwin Encarnación greeted Minnesota reliever Trevor Hildenberger with line drive sent deep down the left-field line. The baseball caromed off the pole to give Cleveland a 1-0 lead.

Then, facing Matt Belisle in the home half, Miguel Sanó responded with a no-doubt blast into the left-field seats, causing an eruption from the Puerto Rican crowd.
The game came to an end in the 16th inning, when Ryan LaMarre singled with the bases loaded and no outs to drive in Eddie Rosario for a 2-1 Twins victory.
