ACE was created by the White Sox organization in 2007, providing baseball instruction and offering leadership and mentoring opportunities to Chicago’s underserved and inner-city communities. ACE helps more than 150 participants every year earn college degrees and build careers in baseball and other industries. The program has had more than 225 participants earn college scholarships, with 94 players playing for Division I NCAA baseball programs and 26 drafted by MLB organizations since 2007, including the first ACE participant to appear in a big league game, outfielder Corey Ray of the Milwaukee Brewers.
