SAN FRANCISCO --- Giants manager Bruce Bochy issued an upbeat message Friday after undergoing a minor heart procedure in San Diego.
"The procedure went extremely well and I'm feeling better," Bochy said in the statement released by the club's media relations department. "I'm grateful for the doctors and want to thank everyone who has reached out with well wishes."
Bochy, 62, underwent an ablation near his heart to address the incidence of arterial fibrillation, he said.
Bochy missed a two-game series April 18-19 in Kansas City for another ablation. He needed two stents inserted in February 2015 and was hospitalized last summer with an undisclosed illness that forced him to miss a game in Miami.
