Bumgarner's club option for the 2018 season is worth $12 million, and his contract includes another, final club option for '19 that's also valued at $12 million.
Bumgarner was limited to 17 starts with the Giants this season, as he missed nearly three months in the first half with a shoulder injury that occurred off the field. The ace left-hander went 4-9 with a 3.32 ERA and 101 strikeouts over 111 innings.
During a nine-year career with the Giants, Bumgarner is 104-76 with a 3.01 ERA in 1,508 2/3 innings across 231 starts and three relief appearances. He helped the franchise win three World Series championships in 2010, '12 and '14.
