Street exits with triceps irritation; to get MRI

TEMPE, Ariz. -- Right-hander Huston Street departed the Angels' 6-5 walk-off win over the Brewers in the third inning with right triceps irritation and is scheduled to undergo an MRI.
Street, who was making his spring debut, faced two batters before walking off the field with a team trainer. He allowed a leadoff single to Keon Broxton, who was subsequently caught stealing. He then struck out Jonathan Villar swinging before exiting; he threw 11 pitches in the abbreviated outing.
"One pitch, he kind of looked like he was moving his arm a little bit," manager Mike Scioscia said. "Then he threw another pitch and it looked like there was discomfort. Obviously there's concern whenever a pitcher -- same with Bud Norris -- whenever they walk off, but we're not going to overreact. We'll just see where they are when we get some information from the medical department."
Street, who left Tempe Diablo Stadium without speaking with reporters, is fighting for the Angels' closer role this spring, battling fellow relievers Cam Bedrosian and Andrew Bailey. The 33-year-old veteran struggled with injuries in 2016 and posted a career-worst 6.45 ERA over 22 1/3 innings before undergoing season-ending knee surgery in August. He has 324 career saves.
Norris, a contender for the fifth spot in the Angels' rotation, also left the game in the fifth with a blister.
"His nail kind of separated," Scioscia said. "He had it in his last bullpen session a bit, but it was fine. So that seems fairly minor right now."
