Mathis placed on paternity list; Walker recalled

DENVER -- The D-backs placed catcher Jeff Mathis on the paternity leave list and recalled infielder/outfielder Christian Walker from Triple-A Reno.
Mathis must remain on the paternity list for at least one day and a maximum of three days.
Mathis, who typically catches each of Zack Greinke's starts, should be back in time to catch the right-hander when he gets the ball on Wednesday against the Pirates.
This is Walker's third stint with the D-backs this year. He has appeared in 16 games, 14 of which have been as a pinch-hitter, and was hitting .252 with five homers for Reno.
